OUT OF HOURS

These periods are covered by the deputising service. Should you need to be seen out of surgery hours, please telephone the surgery and you will be transferred direct. Alternatively, you may call Northern Doctors on 0845 6080 320.

NHS DIRECT

Should you be unsure if you need a doctor out-of-hours or just need advice, the NHS Direct 24-hour nurse-led helpline is there to help; they can be contacted by telephoning 0845 4647 or visiting the website at www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk.

WALK IN CENTRE

There is a Walk-in Centre at Bunny Hill, Sunderland (telephone 0191 519 5800) and 24-hour access at Grindon Lane Primary Care Centre (telephone 0191 525 2300).

DISABLED ACCESS

The surgery is equipped for disabled access and we provide a bell at the front door should you need assistance to open the door. We also provide a disabled toilet near the reception desk. If access proves difficult to any of our disabled patients, we would be happy to consider any suggestions for improvement.
